Rebekah is a beautiful little girl who used to be wonderfully active and have lots of energy to spare. She lives with her mommy and daddy and her younger sister Sarah in rural Banks, Oregon. Rebekah has had developmental delays including cerebral palsey and other nerological issues throughout her short life.  When she was 3 she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a bone and soft tissue cancer that had spread throughout her face, head and neck.  It was not treatable by surgery and she has undergone extensive chemo therapy and radiation.  On Valentine's Day 2006 Rebekah was prounounced "cancer Free!" This was spectacular news but only the beginning of the next step.  On Valentine's Day 2007 Rebekah had been through a few scares in the past year but still remains cancer free pending her next set of scans.  See Rebekah's Story and Treatment Info to the left for further information.

Obviously such a diagnosis/treatment plan put great stress and needs on Rebekah and the entire family.  Each and every need (and quite honestly a lot of wants) were met by your generosity.  So many people have been SO gracious with wanting to help and not knowing how.  That is why some wonderful volunteers have created and run www.helprebekah.com.  Here you can find out how to help.

First and foremost we need prayer and for you to spread the word about Rebekah so others can pray for her.  Beyond that there are so many needs that we do not know how to list them all but we will try to find a place for anything that you can think of.  Finally, there are of course financial needs.  We are finding out that even for a family that was “doing okay” this kind of situation can be financially devastating.  For more specifics on what you can do to help please click on “How Can I Help?” to the left.

This site is a HUGE resource for lots of information about Rebekah - please see the navigation panel to the left.  It is not, however, the place to find out regular updates on Rebekah.  For that information please see her BLOG at:

rebekahspage.blogspot.com.

There you can not only get updates, but also read comments from others that Rebekah has affected and share your thoughts and opinions.

Thank you for your concern, love and prayers.  Scott, Frances, Rebekah and Sarah
